Limited Sales of Single Tree Raw Pu-erh Tea and White Tea 2019

[2020.04.23] Posted By

We have released the 2019 Single Tree Pu-erh Tea.

This tea is harvested and processed exclusively from a single tea tree.

Each Single Tree Tea is sourced from high mountains in western Lincang, at altitudes around 2000-2200m.

Rich Taste of Old Trees

We specifically selected old tea trees for producing Single Tree Tea.

The choice of old tea trees is not about yield but about quality.

The older the tree, the better the quality of the tea. This holds true for fruits and wild herbs as well.

Although old trees have deep roots that reach far into the ground, they grow very slowly. As a result, old trees are extremely rich in minerals, giving the tea a very thick taste.

The thickness in taste is easy to recognize due to its sweetness. For me, Single Tree Tea feels like a fine liquid that brings a sense of delight to the body.

Single Tree Tea: The Ultimate Tea

For our standard Pu-erh tea, fresh leaves are collected based on the garden. Each lot consists of leaves from multiple tea trees within the same garden, ensuring even quality throughout.

In contrast, Single Tree Tea is made from one selected tea tree, resulting in outstanding quality with very distinctive characteristics.

For Single Tree Tea, we usually select very old trees from sustainable gardens where no fertilizers or pesticides are used.

However, not all old trees produce ideal quality. Once fertilizers are used, the trees grow faster, and the quality drops. Therefore, selecting the right tea tree is crucial.

In 2019, we spent two months in Yunnan to select the perfect tea trees. We managed the entire manufacturing process, from collecting fresh leaves to compressing them into tea cakes, to ensure every step meets our specific quality criteria.

Single Tree Tea Processed as Raw Pu-erh Tea and White Tea

We introduced two types of tea: Raw Pu-erh Tea and White Tea, both in cake form.

These teas are enjoyable to drink now and also suitable for aging over many years.

Due to limited stock, we will choose the trees for distribution.
